MY OH got a tram into town and then walked from town to Ecclesall as there were no buses running. I hope he will find getting home a little bit easier.

I got stuck on scarsdale road this morning wheels just spining and when i put on the brakes the car just slid back very scary. I rang my husband and he got a local guy with a recovery truck to come out. He towed me up the hill and was only 10 mins late for work. his name was Andy from ADM Motors. only charged me £25 which i thought was very reasonable...

I can work from home but decided to walk to work instead (I usually drive) - only 40 minutes - but it's the going back again that I'm not looking forward to as it'll be dark and noisy and I'll get covered in oily, salty gunge sprayed up by blinkered drivers finally able to do 30mph safely again.

Which stops snow ploughs and gritters treating the main roads, which is evident in Killamarsh. The people here even decided not to go to work after all that trouble.

I managed to get to work, live at one end of Killamarsh and work at the other. Took me about an hour there, an hour back on foot. I actually enjoyed the picturesque views but a shame some drivers hurtled past me on Hut Lane soaking me with slush.:(

I went to work, set off at 5:15, Hemsworth to Brightside, hardly any problems.
