Cosmetic Surgery (Rhinoplasty) in Sheffield

Hi All,

 

I'm thinking of having Rhinoplasty Surgery and was wondering if anyone out there has had it done recently and through which hospital / surgeon.

 

Any recommendations would be great thanks!

Hi I had to have this, plus sinus wash and something else horrid can't remember name of it. Mr A Parker did it at Thornbury, he is great It does hurt but good luck, it has made my breathing much better

I had this done at claremont, you are best to go to your normal Doctor and tell him what and why you want it doing, and ask for him to refer you to see a private specialist, therefore you know you are getting a good Doctor and not going to a dodgy one at transform or something, If your nose really bothers you then the cost is worth it, the pain only lasts a while, good luck

I had Transform in mind - are they dodgy? I think Transform send you over to a Hospital in Manchester which I didn't really want to do. Anyone else had surgery at?

 

1) Claremont Hospital

3) Birkdale clinic (Rotherham)

I broke my nose and Mr Parker did mine, same as sooperdooper, but at the Hallamshire. Not quite what I expected, but an improvement. Good luck xx

I have googled the following surgeons who operate in Sheffield. Both have impressive records on paper, but I'd like first hand experiences, anyone had surgery with them?

I too had Mr Parker do rhinoplasty on my nose at Thornbury. It was about 15 years ago now, no problems afterwards.

Just a word of advice - if having surgery at Thornbury or Claremont private Hospitals - INSIST that they swab you for MRSA.

Unlike Sheffield NHS hospitals where it is routine for ALL admissions - neither of these private hospitals are very good at doing this and it is VITAL, if you are considering surgery to your nose, since this is a common place to have the MRSA germ.

Go to your GP first ... he maybe able to refer you to the NHS.

Try Dr Dujon at Claremont who is great, very truthful, and who sorted my nose when I had a cancer on it. Dr Stevenson is also based there who is good. You will need a referral from your doctor. all these surgeons work for the NHS as well as private.
