It's called free will suffy...you're just not allowed the free will to think freely.

Can't love me? Then burn in hell. How many spiteful exe's have said that?

Maybe that's proof that God is a woman after all!:hihi:

ETA - just realised that is working on the assumption that you are a male, are you? I always thought that you were.

Just when you think he could not make things yet worse, the Pope, yesterday has rebuked a cardinal for his criticism of a fellow cardinal over his dismissive attitude to sex abuse cases. Cardinal Schoenborn, apparently was unhappy about comments made by Cardinal Sodano in which he dismissed press reports of abuse as 'petty gossip' and also accused Sodano of blocking child abuse investigations. No need to guess whose side the Pope is taking. On a positive note the international media pressure and public condemnation must be coming to tell when cardinals in the Vatican are hitting each other with handbags. All claims of the Vatican being genuinely remorseful over what happened now lie in tatters.

Take heart! It looks like the UK Government is on the verge of sending in Ann Widdecombe.

It hasn't been completely decided yet. I haven't ruled out putting a bet on Frank Skinner (or Paisley as a rank outsider).

The Vatican is now denying any legal responsibility for abuse committed by a priest in the US, as he was not a Vatican employee.

"The Holy See does not pay the salary of the priest, or benefits of the priest, or exercise day-to-day control over the priest, and any of the other factors indicating the presence of an employment relationship," their attorney said.

He does not comment on how much money the Vatican may have received from US Catholics over the years.

This is interesting. So the Vatican is not liable, merely it's associated business in the US. Well this could bankrupt the US operation. It would be amusing to see the administrators put US Catholic Church Inc up for sale to the highest bidder, with the exception of the previous owner of course. Perhaps the Anglican Church could buy it?

Just imagine if the rest of us could operate in the manner that religious leaders would like to, it would be anarchy. Better to demand that religious leaders operate within the rules that we have to imho.
