Halibut
'Rebbeca' by Daphne du Maurier. Brill book It is indeed Anna and has one of the best opening lines in literature - 'Last night i dreamt i was at Manderley again'. Right up there with Ian Banks's 'It was the day my grandmother exploded' from The Crow Road.
perplexed
My favourite changes occasionally, as do the genres. But always there or thereabouts are: Tess of the D'Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy Wuthering Hights by Emily Bronte and for complete contrast: Christine by Stephen King.
