KATIEB_23
Gateley's death "... strikes another blow to the happy-ever-after myth of civil partnerships." She's getting a kicking in comments. What a nasty article. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1220756/Why-natural-Stephen-Gatelys-death.html http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=home#/note.php?note_id=319078745001&ref=nf
spindrift
I am so glad that there has been such a strong backlash (both here and other places like Twitter) to this disgusting and shameful article. - Andrew, Durham, 16/10/2009 14:17 Have I stepped back in time??? Spiteful spiteful woman - elaine, edinburgh, 16/10/2009 14:17 What a nasty little article - I was shocked when I read what the so-called journalist had written. And maybe she might like to consider that I have found Stephen Gatelys tragic death very upsetting - why you may ask? Because my best friend died suddenly in May from an undetected heart condition - so yes 'young men' of Stephens age do 'climb into their pajama's and die' - and the world is a much sadder place because of it. Maybe next time the journalist would like to consider how Stephens family, bandmates and friends would feel if they read the article - but hopefully they have more sense than to read such trash. Hang your head in shame... - Andrew, London, 16/10/2009 14:15 Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1220756/A-strange-lonely-troubling-death--.html#ixzz0U6dfAGO8
TJC1
The articles a shameful joke, nothing more than journalist tittle-tattle. The autopsy revealed Stephen had a lung condition and drugs were in no-way to blame for his death. It's a shame they have to resort to such scummery to sell papers. spindrift
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/healthnews/6323925/What-is-fluid-on-the-lungs.html "Pulmonary oedema can occur for a variety of reasons but usually it is due to a build up of pressure in the circulation as a result of relatively weak heart function. The issue is to establish the cause of the reduced heart function which can be caused by a heart attack, disease, or rhythm disturbance. In younger patients, heart muscle function can fail because of an inflammation of the muscle caused by a virus. While heart failure is the most common cause of pulmonary oedema, but it doesn't necessary result in death. If caught early the condition can be treated by using diuretic drugs or through the use of surgery to correct any underlying defects. The Majorcan court official could not say if he had drunk alcohol or taken drugs but said, either way, they were not the cause of Mr Gately's death." TJC1
I don't understand the media at all. Why can't they let his family and friends grieve in peace? why do have to 'dig the dirt' its not as if he is some evil person or something. By all accounts he was a decent, gentle fellow.
