Alcoblog   10 #65 Posted May 13, 2014 I used B&Q turf a couple of years ago on a small lawn for a friend and was surprised at how good it ended up looking. I prefer grass seed though.
 Share this content via...
CELCAD   10 #66 Posted May 14, 2014 I'd recommend getting some good quality turf. IE 'weed free'  I made a mistake a few years ago by thinking the lesser quality stuff would be ok and I could treat it to look perfect. I was very wrong. The turf didn't grow very well, had loads of weeds and bare patches. Despite me trying my best two water and feed it.  The extra few £ are well worth it. sonnyboyblue   10 #67 Posted May 14, 2014 Kiveton Turf Supplies without a doubt. The people are rather miserable but their turf is cheap, decent quality and delivered. I've used them several times.
 Share this content via...

Vulcan B2   10 #69 Posted May 14, 2014 I've always used Sykes of Doncaster , 'stadium turf' is ideal for lawns  I'd echo that... I bought exactly 12sq metres just ten days ago and it cost me 29 quid and spare change. I was extremely impressed by the quality of the turf, and their service was brilliant. tasha_78_1 Â Â 10 #71 Posted May 14, 2014 Birley Garden Centre is very good. Not sure of the cost though
 Share this content via...
Vulcan B2   10 #72 Posted May 14, 2014 It's always really fresh when it's delivered too  Yes it was lovely and moist. We ordered a ton of top soil also, which although pricier than elsewhere, was graded down to 4mm and made a really good base to lay the fresh turf on. Highly recommended.
