Also, Columbia Place (Suffolk Rd) was not a government building but the workshop of a firm of organ builders - the coat of arms is their royal warrant! I was so appalled by it that I stood there with my gob open for about 5 minutes - I decided it was obviously somebody's idea of a joke, and that this couldn't possibly be how it was going to look like when finished.
