Damkina
Affectionately? The Sugar Cube? It looks a right monstrosity to replace the right monstrosity that was the Town Hall/Eggbox... aught never to have been lifted off the drawing board. Night or day, lights or non... it still looks ugly.

ghetto_pony
I like it - hated it at first but it's grown on me, it has character! Does anyone know if they are still going to build that thing near the wicker, a building leaning to one side?

Rivelin6
I think the reference is to this building Weird, but I haven't made up my mind about it. I agree about the new building over the road from henderson's. Getting back to the cheese grater - I really like it. I'm looking forward to seeing it lit up inside. How will the light be reflected from the steel as it makes its way out?! Hugh The Cheese grater/ door chime building can't be any worse than the one stood on the old Jessops ante natal unit site (across from Henderson's) it horrendous and looks outdated already. Gives you a terrible headache looking at all those colours first thing in a morning:hihi:
illuminati
I like it - hated it at first but it's grown on me, it has character! Does anyone know if they are still going to build that thing near the wicker, a building leaning to one side? Same here, I hated it at first, I go past it every day, today I looked up and studied it and I think it will look amazing when lit from inside at night (have never seen it at night) I saw quite a few people taking photographs, now this is a car park and you have people taking photos of a car park!!!!! I think it is a million times better than the 'Turd' further down the road (well that's my name for it anyway)
Alastair
Is it a sugar cube or is it a retro 1970's doorbell like this one ? If anyone wants this doorbell it is free to a good home. I just replaced it with a 1920's one. It works and even has the batteries inside it. PM me if you want it. Have an iconic Sheffield landmark in you hallway! millsands
i had doubtts when i saw this first and still have doubts but it does look better than the other one they have done on the moor that one is brown and does look out of place. its a pity none of us will be able to afford to pay to park in them though as Q parking are one of the most expensive car parking firms i have ever known
