Remember any old silly verses etc you were told as a child

thai the first one isn't a rhyme, but curious as to where it originated from :huh:

I like the second one :thumbsup:

All i know is dad used to sing it. there is another that goes.

 

when i was young and in my prime i ran away to sea,i stepped on board a china ship and bound for the open sea. A china man came up to me and said i was a spy and if i did,nt tell a tale he,d pop me in the eye.O gerraway pongo big chinese elephants nest in a rhubarb tree.The captains name was bongo he had a big fat eye,he used to chew his whiskers as the clouds rolled by.

They're different, all new to me :P Taking note of your name, did they originate from china?

Sorry i really do not know where they came from,just remember my dad singing them to us a kids i,m nearly 56 there are others that im trying to remember.I will ask my brothers and sisters which they remember.There is one called kipper the dipper when i remember how it goes i,ll pass it on. My name is because i love thailand so much and holiday there whenever i can.

Thought of a saying as I was driving home tonight. Where I was it wasn't raining but I was obviously heading towards it.

The saying was "It's looking a bit black o'er Bill's mother's"

Don't remember where it came from, or who Bill was (or his mother for that matter).
