Morgan out till Christmas

Recommended Posts

CHRIS Morgan, the Sheffield United captain, has predicted he will return to action before Christmas following a nightmare absence through injury.

Having initially expressed a desire to begin pre-season with his colleagues at Shirecliffe, Morgan was forced to revise his timescale due to persistent swelling around the joint in question.

I thought he was ready to resume training right now :(

I think you have seen the last of Morgan, in a playing capacity.

I would of thought he may be a half decent coach for the near future ?

We was on about him not long back saying he would have been a good one to sort out our defence.

One of the main reasons ya'll got relegated, was him missing. May be a second time if you don't find an adequate replacement. Christ knows, we know how hard it is to sort a defence out.

How can one player being missing be a MAIN reason for being relegated?. I think there were many many issues last season that got us relegated but morgan wasnt a MAIN reason just a another case of bad luck. And as for the " might be another relegation" comment, again you simply cannot blame that on the absence of one player if that was the case it would make the other ten look seriously crap. And just for the record if we go down again there will be one man il be blaming and he wears a suit and tie and calls himself a blade and has the word chairman on his door i forget his name. ...

would you disagree with the bold though?:) to be fair he did say one of the main reasons, not the only one and i doubt many blades would say he wasn't missed, especially with some of the players brought in to try and fill the gap made by his absence

Did i say he wasnt missed? No. I was just trying to explain that he wasnt one of the main reasons he was just a reason along with a long list of others but i think the main reasons have nothing to do with chris morgan or any of the playing staff for that matter. And as for the bold how can i disagree just look at our league position lol. And when our teamsheet reads the names taylor quinn monty hendo evans nyron simmo you just have to use the word crap im afraid i for one hope all the above are sold on to roman gypsies to do as they please with ie slaves, circus acts etc etc

I sort of get what your saying about Morgs....Its not just in his footballing skills that we missed him but his presence on the pitch too. I think he was a big loss to us last season and looks like a huge part of this up and coming season too.....

I think his return is scheduled for late September/early October, I actually meant to post this a few weeks ago and forgot.

He was seeing specialists in London a few weeks ago to have an up to date assessment.
