  1. Hello. Does anyone know where I can get cheap genuine doc martens?? Thanks
  2. Hi, My son was also born in Jan 08 and he is due to start his 15 hours free nursery in April 2011. Thanks
  3. Hi, theres a place called Centertainment near Meadowhall that has various restaurants that have bars within them, the pubs around there arent great tho I dont think. However you could get the tram at the Centertainment into the City Centre Good Luck !
  4. Hi clarez85, they do open from 7am i think and you can take them earlier but not sure if there might be a charge, im not sure - they will tell you all that friday wont they. good luck anyway, let me know how you get on. Where abouts in hackenthorpe do you live?
  5. Hackenthorpe hall cost £42 a day which includes breakfast, dinner, tea, snacks and drinks. (9am - 6pm) Also includes pampers nappies and sudacrem cream - i really thought it was good value for money. Or for the morning 9am - 1pm its £21 includes breakfast, mid morning snack, lunch and drinks. Not sure if they do a discount for NHS but they do give discounts of 10% for more children How old is your child/children? I really cannot say a bad word about hackenthorpe hall. I wouldnt have thought Fairmount will agree to their bad reputation. But i honestly think that its just hearsay, you know yourself when you walk in somewhere if its right for your child. Have a look at Hackenthorpe Hall too and see what you think. I will say as well though, Fairmount are starting to charge for lunch on top of the daily rate which is bought in made but Hackenthorpe include lunch in their price and its homemade by an onsite cook. Good luck!!
  6. Hi Clarez85, I decided to put my children in hackenthorpe hall, the staff are brill and my kids loved it at the settling in days. Ive heard bad reports on fairmount but its only what ive heard, not had any direct complaints if you know what i mean!?
  7. oh im so jealous reading these posts.... i got married 2 years ago and wish i could do it all over again! My day was just perfect. I wore ivory with some very faint gold detail, my chief bridesmaid was in gold and my younger 2 were in ivory & gold. Hope you all have amazing wedding days!! Enjoy every single minute of it as it really does just fly!! Take Care all.
  8. i know its not quite woodhouse but headlines elite which is situated within sam jones gym at drakehouse it really good and not far to travel for you.
  9. blushes on london road have a nice selection. also try debenhams and bhs - they have a nice range of bridal and bridesmaid dresses. Look at their websites I wouldnt recomend where i got mine from seen as 6 weeks before my wedding day they told me they had ordered the wrong size and couldnt get me the right one!!!
  10. Why dont you put a board up on the front garden to try and sell it privately? I know of people who have done that and it saves you and the buyer thousands of pounds in estate agents fees! Might be worth a try?
  11. i was taught to swim there think the guy was called Jim? And there was Jean who worked on the desk I think? My dad used to take me and my brother all the time in the 80's on a sunday whilst mum cooked sunday dinner and every week without fail, we'd walk out and have a hot chocolate and a twirl (dipped in of course!) my dad took his grandchildren there the other week and also mentioned about the cubicles!! funny... I need to go back again with my babies.
  12. I was going to say the same as above. Slimming World is great and you can still eat chocolate just use syns. Or they sell Hi-Fi Bars, they do chocolate orange and mint chocolate which are lovely and give me my chocolate fix. Also muller light yoghurts are free on the plan (no syns) you can get vanilla with a sprinkle of chocolate or toffee flavour. Lose weight properly I say with a healthy balanced diet but without having to give up treats!
  13. I used 'Celebrations' in Sheffield for my wedding in 2007. They were very well priced. 0114 254 0241
  14. I'm sorry but I dont see the point of making yourself eat less or smaller portions... Why not join a Slimming World class - you can eat and eat and eat!! I have lost 2.5 stone doing slimming world and I have take aways friday and saturday and drink a couple of bottles of wine each night. You really can eat as much food as you want depending on the day your on (Red day = Meat, Green day= carbs) Fruit and veg is free on both plans. Like I say i have lost weight successfully on this and have never had to restrict how much I eat. Give it a go I'd say.
  15. Some swimming pools have aqua aerobics classes aimed for pregnant women. Might be an idea to contact a few locall to you?
  16. Hi, There is a playgroup on a Thursday at the Hackenthorpe Community Centre 9.30 I think it starts although I'm not sure if it opens during the holidays. Other than that what about Kids Kingdom or Run Around, these are playcentres for kids so Im sure you'd get to meet people there.
  17. I have 2 children under the age of 18months and love every moment I spend with them. I am fortunate enough to only have to work 2 days a week when I go back but I don't have any desire to not work at all. It will be great for the kids as they're spending 1 day with their Nan and the other in a nursery with local friends and I must say I'm looking forward to having a cuppa and a chat in peace now and again! If people are lucky enough to not have to work and thats what they want I dont see it being a problem but I personally am happy to just work 2 days and am lucky enough I can afford to do so - not many people can so have to work full time.
  18. Hi Pattricia Yes that is a nice one. I always get Blossom Hill. Ernest Gallo, Stowells or Echo Falls. To be honest there isnt much difference in them I just love all White Zinfandel Rose wines. Enjoy!
  19. They wouldnt let me on, said it was because they couldnt let people ride after 11.30pm but i was also a little tipsy!! ;-)
  20. White Zinfandel Rose Wine Love it. Drink approx 10 bottles a week.
  21. The Mossbrook apparantly do nice dinners (Near Eckington) I would visit some places you like the look of as I have noticed most places who do provide xmas dinners already have their christmas information packs out. Good luck.
