  4. War? The wars finnished, why dont you have 'Nether Edge against Mugabe' or something useful like 'Nether Edge for more hospitals' Sorry, but theres no point in rallying against the US, they're governments not in charge, the oil companies and big business are! Rally against them although your still not going to change doodlysquat.

  6. Theres a few Mo, but not many. If I venture into town now at the weekend it usually to the dog (packed to the rafters) The Grapes, Fagans, Red Deer. I'm not what you might call ancient but these places still attract real people and characters and in the case of the dog, lively music! It seems some on here enjoy their plastiky, pine floored, chromed, bottle swilling palaces but give me the REAL places anyday!! Did you see what they did to the Hallamshire on West St???

  12. I've only discovered Johnny Cash in the last few months so was absolutely gutted when he passed away last week. This morning my copy of his last CD 'American IV:The Man Comes Around' arrived. Stunning CD, with songs like Nine Inch Nail's 'Hurt' , a cover of Depeche modes 'Personal Jesus' and duets with Don Henley and Nick Cave. Hopefully the mans immense talent will now be fully recognised.......Its just so sad that this always happens to some artists after they die.
  13. Deep End - Tuesday nights (tonight wey hey!!) is Jam night all welcome and they have the kit set up on stage. The Deep End used to have a night called 'Naked' just for original material once a month, but I think thats now run from 'The Art Room'. The Dog & Partridge on Trippet Lane also has a session tonight for anyone to go and join in. Might even venture out me'sen for a strum in the dog later!!!

  15. Theres nowt weird or old about liking Johnny Cash Lou, the man was a proper legend. He'd recently done covers with the likes of Nick Cave and won an award last week for his video of a 'Nine Inch Nails' song! Most of todays 'so called' legends arnt fit to re- string his guitar. R.I.P
