  1. In that case the middle aged woman is lucky she will be still have a chance of being an old aged woman. Shame on you Middle Aged Woman.
  2. Thats right Gordon, how perceptive off you. I wish i had only a 10th of your wisdom.
  3. Ahhhhh shame, you really missed out. Can some one please get this person a mad guy from the 70's that stands at the side of the road shaking their fist.
  4. Can we confirm the middle aged woman did indeed jump the red light. This is based on one eye wittness. Who may well be one of those mad chaps that stands at side of roads shaking his fist from the 70's.
  5. Never get ahead by giving head to the man. Lord knows I've tried !
  6. WEll this is the whole point of using an instructer, they learn you to drive at test standard, its not rocket science and unfortuantly theirs no way round it. I will admit that once passed you then go on to learn more about driving and usually find your own style but you just have to learn first to test standard. Im not an instructer and I do sympathise with you because I found it so hard myself but the quicker you realise theirs no easy way, the better for you. I dont think youve helped yourself by driving without proper training. Get some lessons booked and forget what you think you know about driving and take absolutely everything on board that the instructer teaches you about passing the test.
  7. So if they disscover how WE and possibilly the Universe is made this not going to tell us how to cure " the little things " like cancer, some people ! Also to take a point with some people saying we are overstepping ourselves with God. I say maybe its part of the plan, for us to solve the puzzle and be closer to him / she / it. Just a thought.
  8. If you google Redmires Prisoner of war camp their's quite a bit of stuff on there. Seems their was a camp in WW1 and WW2, with a aircraft landing strip next to it. I seem to remember they were Italians that were based there, last time I looked up the matter. Most probabally a lot of stuff already on here if you do a search. Oh and the cabin next to the Sportsman pub is one of the barrack buildings that was moved there before they knocked the camp down and planted the wood.
  9. Hi all, Our twin girls will be growing up and starting school next year and I was just looking for opinions on schools in our area. they may well end up going to Hallam, Lydgate or Nethergreen. Any thoughts on the above schools would be greatly appriciated. Ta.M.

  12. So donations paying their mortgage so that they can both be off work un paid and living in Portugal for near on 6 months in a desperate attempt to find their missing 4 year old daughter IS NOT HELPING ?!? How else are they supposed to use the donation fund ? Come on you self rightous lot tell us exactly what is the right way to spend this charity. Idiots:loopy: I dont care what their class situation is, just think yourself lucky its not one of your children. Actually I bet those early daft comments came from people without kids. Stop reading papers, they know no more than us !
  13. Well the drive still works, as it still reads and utilises all the MP3 files on there from I Tunes etc.... I just cant physically open it up to organise. Whats a drive housing ?
  14. Yep , this works and the c nd D drive work fine but how did you reolve the problem as I still need to access the external F drive ?
  15. Cheers , done the system restore and run the usual AVG, Ad Aware etc.... Yes have downloaded software from CD ROM recently ?
  16. I ve suddenly started having trouble browsing through MY Computer. My C drive opens up ok, if not a little slower and I can go through all my files on there without too much trouble. My D partition on the other hand is a real problem, takes several mins to open up and has on ocasion stopped responding whilest going through my files. My USB external Drive is compleately unacssesible. It just wont open at all and the icon has changed too. Everything that is on there still works, ie mp3's on my I tunes but I just cant open it up. Its also the same when browsing the same drives through a program, for example when you want to save a piece of work. Its odd and smells of a bug to me. Anyone had simallar experience. Its a PC by the way with Windows Xp
  17. Hi, Im pretty sure Ive picked up a bug that Ad Aware and AVG cant find. So Ive run Hijack This but of course I dont know what Im looking for. Is their anyone on here that can have a look of my report and advise me on what to delete. Thanks in advance. M.
  18. Thanks for all the replies, they were reasuring and I was getting better but its come back !! I got severe diorea and stomach cramps 3 weeks ago with blood and was taken into hospital for observations. From a stool sample they disscovered Campylobacter. I came out after a weekend and started to get better but the following weekend had a relapse and back to square one. This is common with this type of bug so wasn't too worried and the doctor gave me a weeks worth of antibiotics. Started to feel reall better, even went running. Then about a week later stomach collapsed again. In a real bad way, cramps watery poo, right back to where I started. Doctor is still reasuring that this can happen and we have sent a fresh stool sample off for tests. In the mean time im sat here fretting as to whether I have something more sinister like Cancer. Has anyone had this bug with simalar circumstances ?
  19. Has anybody had this virus. Im well into my second week now, with a weekend in hospital too. I actually started to recover, then had a relapse this weekend and feel worse than ever. Now have some antibiotics so hopefully, fingers crossed ? Theirs so many different reports on the net it just be reasureing to get a first hand experience from someone.
  20. Hi just a call out to see if their is anyone out there who has been ill after a night at the Leadmill on Tuesday the 17th of July to see The Brian Jonestown Masacre. Any form of fever and stomach / abdomen symptons ? Of course Im not suggesting the Leadmill are poisioning people. Its just that I ve been ill in Hospital and that was the last thing I did before I was ill.
  21. Yes got a dog and totally agree, poop needs picking up ! Can I just raise a point though. I was walking my dog early the other morning on the Sportsman field, Lodge Moor. This field is a right minefield of poo and my kids play on here so it concerns me. Anyway my lard head of a dog decided to have way more clearouts than usual and Im really sorry to say I got caught out with no bags left. Looking around with no one in sight, a car with another dog walker in turns around in the car park. A women inside with her window up starts waveing her finger at me. As I approached the car she then sped off down Redmires road. Oh, how I could have done with asking her if she could spare a bag. With no one else around I abanded it to the rain, shouting at the dog on the way. My point is, if you come across someone with a dog pooing and leaves it behind. Please don't mump under your breath, tut, wave finger or even run home to come on here and rant in a all knowing way. Approach them, It maybe someone you can help like me ( if your a dog owner with bags that is ) If it's someone genuinely leaving their poo, then chances are they'll be so ashamed, embarresd or whatever, they'll pick it up. If you do get faced with an aggressive nature then move on but at least you tried. M.
  22. Don't get me started on this, it really winds me up and Look Leeds is no better !
  23. Lodge moor is now not half bad with snow. Been snowing lightly all day since 12 noon and now as the nights come in it's turned into the good dry powder ! Might even be worth taking the skis up to Ringinglow at first light, just hope it doesn't rain as tipped because that's going to be a right mess and flooding will bring the city to a standstill.
  24. Nothing unusual to report, standard heather fires and a regular sight here at Lodge Moor. Although I agree funny for this time of year. M.
