  1. I cycle commute into town from Totley, and Totley Moss is a quick and steep walk from home, there are plenty of preschools, nurseries and childminders, thought I can't comment on price as my kids are all grown up. We get plenty of club cyclists passing through, though I don't do club cycling.
  2. I drive two different cars, the one I usually drive has an automatic handbrake, the other has a manual handbrake, sometimes I forget which I'm in. I always leave my car in gear.

  8. I live in Totley, Main Ave, I'm with Talk Talk, the full package, I've not been that happy with it, especially the TV part, the picture often pixellates and freezes and the on-line help is really cumbersome. Having said that it copes 4 of uson-line at the same time. speed test: Your current bandwidth reading is: 4.20 Mbps which means you can download at 537.17 KB/sec. from our servers.

  20. My son died unexpectedly aged 5 weeks, unbaptised, the priest on duty in the hospital was very comforting and baptised him in hospital. When I went to see my parish priest to arrange the funeral there was no problem with a church funeral service, but I had to insist very fiercely that my son had the service for baptised children, not limbo - destined children. It was another 8 years before I dealt with the anger and other emotions that battle caused, at a time when I was obviously already very distressed. What forced me to deal with it 8 years later was having another child and having to decide whether or not have him baptised. He and my subsequent children remain unbaptised and I an ex-Catholic. That was not the only thing that turned me from my faith, but it was the most painful thing. It is hard to know how I would react now, because heaven, hell and limbo are no longer an issue for me. But thinking about the attitude of that priest still makes me very angry.

  22. My mum gave me a head of rhubarb 19 years ago, I've dug it up and moved loads of times, but never fed it. A plant that needed any attention would not survive in my garden.
  23. Forced rhubarb is in the shops from around March, I've not tried any of our garden rhubarb since July, it's looking sad at the moment.
  24. When I first left home I used to cook mince on a Monday for tea and reheat it every day with an new ingredient, it rarely saw the inside of a fridge and I was never ill. I would not feed my kids like that though.
