Thanks for all your replies. I think the capacity is 5.9 litres, I left the engine to cool down for about 10 minutes before putting the water in so hopefully i wont have caused any damage

They said they had put anti freeze in it. I just put a pint of water in (enough to bring it back up to the correct level in the expansion tank) really annoyed with them, makes me worried that they haven't put other things back properly either!

I'm taking it back on Monday morning but I need to use it for work tomorrow. When you say mix do you mean water/anti freeze

it was just above 80 so not too high I think. Is it ok to just replace the coolant? I don't need to do anything like bleed the system do I ?

Im looking for some advice please, I got my car back today after having quite a bit of work done on the engine/ cylinder head. I drove it for about 10 miles then noticed it was slightly overheating and the fan started. I pulled over and noticed a water trail on the road so checked the water/ coolant (expansion?) tank. the hose had come off. I reattached it and topped up the tank. Will this be ok to drive now? bit worried about causing any damage:( thanks in advance

It is a really bad junction, there is now a pedestrian crossing across Ringinglow Road but it doesnt sound like it would have prevented this accident, glad it wasnt a child, I presumed it was as she was a slight build and was covered with a blanket. Really hope she recovers ok

Does anyone know how the child is that was run over this morning outside High Storrs school? I was dropping my son off up there and the child was laying in the road covered with a blanket not moving, hope they are ok.

I tried to phone on Monday to book a table, this would explain why they didn't answer. Really hope they haven't shut permanently

Me and my sister ended up in The Old Number 7 last weekend, a great place and the owner Chris is really friendly too

You must live near me because there have been dogs barking for the past few nights in S8 I think it's down to a neighbours collie dog that keeps getting out and annoying all the local dogs!

They had them in Tesco on Abbeydale Road yesterday

I have to agree, this is an excellent restaurant that serves fabulous food.The staff are polite, friendly and very knowledgeable. We went on a works night out there and they were lovely and so accommodating,they couldn't do enough for us and the service was fast and efficient.Well done!!
