I must say a huge well done to the lads from Amey who have done a very good job so far this year. I had just cleared two tracks up our road today, which never ever gets gritted as it is unadopted, when the gritter went past at the bottom. He carried on on the road he was on and then came back past the bottom turned around and reversed up and gritted the whole of the road. I had a few minutes chatting to him and he said they were not meant to do our road, but the men in charge had told them to be on the lookout for such roads now the priority roads had been cleared and to do them, he even made a note of it to pass on as in need of doing in future. I did offer him a cuppa but he said he could not as he was on a tracker, so i would say to his gaffer's, give the lads a break, they deserve a quick brew now and again. Well done to them all and a big thank you.
