  1. Freecycle's cool. I've had a hoover (that died!) and a freezer that's FABULOUS!
  2. Still not heard anything, I'M FUMING - I know I'm being impatient, I'm just an impatient person!!!! Have you heard anything LindseyW???
  3. It's possibly it wasn't explained properly or the person misunderstood. Your mum needs to call them back and advise that although she won't be in the property, it WILL be oocupied. Having worked for the company in question, I am 99.9% sure they'll not apply any conditions as someone will be there. That's as long as you're staying more than 1/2 nights a month. All calls are recorded anyway, so don't necessarily need it in writing, just make sure you get their full name!!
  4. I hate Sky and would recommend never going with them. I've had Sky and I can't bear em, they outsource their call centres and then wonder why you get so aggravated! Part of the problem is that you buy the box from them, with cable you just rent the box.
  5. Woolybacks might be further into the Dales or something, it's to do with sheep I think! As in being sheep farmers?
  6. Speak to the insurance company who insures the first car, they may allow some introductory discount on the 2nd policy (if you don't have any already. Remember, you need to be honest with them if you haven't as they'll request proof at some point.
  7. Yes you can, you could insure 50 cars in your name if you so wished. Just be careful, as melissalil said about insuring young drivers on that policy. You might be better off named as the main driver on one of the policies though, just in case of any discrepancy if you need to claim. They could well pose the question 'how can your husband be the main driver of both cars??' Hope this helps!
  8. Isn't it 'woolybacks'??? That might just be Yorkshire-people!
  9. Good lord. Handbags down ladies. Chill out supertyke - it's only a discussion!
  10. It's just reminded me seeing the Deal or No Deal thread . . . Does anyone know who sang the song to that reality-looking tv show where people dance?? Not the ballroomy one & not the ice-skating one, it looks very american? Sorry about the lack of details, I haven't been watching! The song goes: you're the best, you're the best . . . . . . . Thanks!!!!
  11. Immediately. It states items will be sent the noext working day by registered post. To my way of thinking, that's Monday 8th January. I've already said I'm allowing 10 days, then I'll chase through Ebay & Paypal.
  12. I wouldn't take my car to them if they were doing it free of charge.
  13. They are still listed and have an open shop still. I appreciate they may be ill or may be other reasons for non-delivery, but they have £30 of my money and they are providing a service. Well, supposedly. I'm leaving it anothew few days and then I'll kick ass!
  14. For God's sake, that's not the point Ken. It was described clearly and she didn't shop around for the item and willingly paid approx £30 for the item. Why should she get a refund for something she's gladly paid for?????
  15. I paid for and ordered an item on Ebay on 5th Jan and I'm still waiting for the seller to contact me with regards to sending the item. I have now sent 3 emails to her to ask where the item is and when it will be dispatched, On the last email I sent, I advised she had until 5pm on 15th Jan to reply to me and then I'd be leaving her negative feedback and contacting Ebay to report her. Am I able to claim my money back through Paypal and how long does it take? And can I leave more than one feedback for the seller?
  16. My cat LOVES it - she actually licks the bag and then drools all over it before I even have chance to get it out!!!
  17. Don't give it - you advertised clearly and not fraudulently - she should've shopped around first. Obviously the other bidders didn't shop around first either or they wouldn't have bidded on it!
  18. Bless you nightraker. I hope whatever course of action you take works out for you. Pert.
  19. Charlie - I'm not saying that he was diagnosed with ADHD for the sake of it, I just wondered if doctors these days see bad behaviour and immediately diagnose ADHD without investigation or whether there are tests that they have available to them.
  20. Without going into too much detail, I personally think that my friend has been too lax with him and has removed the previous boundaries. My thinking on it all is that regardless of whether he has ADHD or not, he should know exactly where he stands and that he can't get away with anything he wants (which he pretty much does at the moment). It's possible that as an outsider I can see where he may be better controlled and they're just trying to do the best thing for him, maybe just going about it the wrong way.
  21. A friend has fostered a child and he apparently has ADHD. Now I'm not debating that this illness / condition exists, but I personally doubt that he has ADHD. He takes no medication or other treatment. I've been thinking and the foster carer he was with before my friend was quite strict with him and laid down clear 'guidelines'. I've noticed that since he went to live with my friend that he's becoming more and more badly behaved. Is it possible that his bad behaviour could have been misdiagnosed as ADHD? I'm not an expert and don't profess to be, I've just been mulling it over for a while and wondered what other opinions are.
  22. I do drink but not very often. I find the symptoms a LOT worse when I've had a drink, I don't know if this is something to do with how I sleep when I've had a drink? I do smoke as well but I had the symptoms beore I smoked!
