I'm getting married on 11th October this year and looking for a barber shop I can visit where I can get my hair done with some of my groomsman and also have a wet shave etc...any recommendations??

Anyone recommend a TV repair shop in Sheffield?

Any ideas where I could take it?

It's a Samsung and 42" inch, LED and I bought it back in Dec 2011. The top third of the TV, horizontally, is distorted, epically in the top left corner with a green line vertically.

Could anyone recommend a TV repair store in South Yorkshire area? Just someone whose reliable and reasonably priced.

Would never use H&L again after my experience, had them out to do a report at the request of my mortgage company and they stated the front of the house needed alot of work..(which is not even the area we wanted inspecting) and it needed to be done urgently. The report we paid for concerned the front of the house so I asked them to change it to to the area we requested and it was after the 15th attempt of ringing them I finally got the report I wanted. Nearly three years later we've never had any damp issues at the front of the house.

Has he wronged you in a former life? Personally I enjoy him on the way to work in the morning, really gald to see him back...

I recently had the same problem. We moved into our new house and didn't want a gas fire any longer so capped it off. I used a company called 'Ex-Gas' who came and just capped the gas supply, think the fee was £55. Didn't need a certificate or anything.

Just wanted to update on my original post. On the above recommendations I gave Dexters a call, due to my partners irregular working hours we couldn't actually get to Dexters in-line with their opening hours. After speaking with them, one of the owners was very helpful and said he would be happy to come out and give us a free quote. We set a date and he arrived promptly, an hour later we had agreed a deal with them to re-carpet every room apart from one small bedroom. He arrived with plenty of samples which ranged from about £8 a yard to £21. We got a great deal and he worked really hard to meet our budget and was very fair. The following week they come to fit the carpets and managed to do it in under 4hrs and was really impressed with the fitters as well. In a nutshell folks, if you need some new carpets then give Dexters a try!!

I've recently purchased a house in the S12 area of Sheffield and i'm looking to re-carpet the majority of the house. I was recommend a company called Crown Carpets in Hackenthorpe but after speaking with them they're only while 3pm which is no good as I work till 4pm everyday and i'm not going out of my way, it should be the other way round if they want my custom! Anyways, could anyone suggest/recommend somewhere to go or a number for someone who could come and give me a quote? Your help is very much appreciated.

Agree and disagree...some estate agents are a nightmare but Foys Solicitors from Chapeltown who we used were excellent!

Every property I wanted to view through Haybrook, we never did!! Awful customer service, it was the branch in the S12 area. If I had to sell a house these would be the last on my list to call. I found 2Roost very good to deal with, excellent customer service.

Sorry to ask but are you PCA/WPA approved? The only reason I ask is my mortgage company are insistent on this? How quick would you be able to come out? Many Thanks Tom

Good Afternoon, I'm after a bit of advice and help. I am in the process of buying a house and my mortgage company have recently completed the survey. They found an isolated patch of damp under the stairs and vauled the repairs at £500. Before they would approve the mortgage they wanted me to source a Damp/Timber specialist and get them to assess the damp just not make sure it wasn't anything more serious. I had to do this and not the current home owner as it would have been a conflict of interest. I found a company in Burncross called Higginbottom and Lascells who agreed to come and do the report for a sum of £30. After waiting 10 days for them to come and do this and the home owner booking time off work, they didn't turn up. They eventually turned up the next day and stated the front of the house was damp (we never asked them to assess this). Anyways I could go on forever but five days later and around 15 phone calls I am still waiting for a report, to say I am frustrated is an under statement! They seem unable to send me the report via e-mail, how hard can it be? Could anybody recommend anyone else? Someone has mentioned Dower Teckron or Timberwise? Any suggestions/help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance Tom
