tbtc
bin shopping there today for the first time will not be going again saftey is an after thought if god forbid there was a fire on the upper floor youve had it your toast the downward escalator was not working and the emergency exits were locked so your only way back down was a lift with your trolley you would only get two trolleys and two people max this is not on can somebody who maybe works for hse investigate or have they already given it a green flag to say its safe because its not its a death trap You do know that there's an entrance/exit from the top level directly out to Spittal Hill? There's no need to use any escalator/ lift in a fire - you simply walk out of the door (level access, by the end of the cafe, straight outside). Now, does that sound like a death trap? damophoto
dont forget though that fire certificates are long gone, and replaced with the rrfso. True. The necessary risk assessments To identify, manage and reduce the risk of fire will be done by whoever deals with their health and safety policy. But the fire officer is still the one who enforces rrfso.

Now, does that sound like a death trap? exactly, im glad more people realise this advice to all, from a fire risk assessor, anytime you go to a building, look out for the fire exits, several occasions, I have led people the fastest way out of a building when they were heading for lifts or the front door. especially so in a nightclub or somewhere unfamiliar. every time you sit down, spot your way out. its just habit for me.
