Strictly Come Dancing 2008

Sure Bruce is getting on a bit but that is part of the show's charm, plus the fact that Bruce can dance himself and has been an entertainer means he's not just another ordinary TV presenter.

He know's a bit about what the judges are looking for.

As I said he is 78 so he may not be on the screens for too much longer,

and I for one would be sorry to see him leave the show and British TV.

Didn't he do well!:)

Not that well. Kept telling jokes that nobody laughed at .!! Give a younger, male presenter a chance. Tessas husband Vernon Kay would be terrific.Needs some young blood in it. Let Bruce retire gracefully.

Brucie is great!.. he makes the show, his little comments and face-pulling adds that little extra magic to the show. I can't imagine any one else presenting it.

As for the show - I think Mark Ramprakash or Spoony will win by tonights standards...Also, 'Ola to Ola!'

Err you think Vernon Kay could make the audience laugh... I don't think so...

he maybe in tune with the younger teenage audience but don't forget that many of the fans are also of the older generation who see Brucie as a nice familiar face that they can relate to.

As for young blood, in case you hadn't noticed the show is full of young blood! Tess Daly and all the dancers are pretty young as well as some of the contestants.

Why should it turn into a young persons only show? That would ruin it's charm and appeal to many and it would turn into nothing more than another

"X factor"

Yes, I think anyone could make them laugh better than, Brucie. You laugh, but its such a weak joke, you stop in the middle of your laugh, and kinda flounder as theres never a punch line. The person who would be ideal is dead, and thats Les Dawson.I can just imagine his dead pan look towards the camera, and his funny one liners.

Would be funnier if they could bring Les Dawson back and stick him in the orchestra on the piano.....priceless...!

Okay Pat, so you don't like Brucie I think we've got that message!.....just remember not everyone dislikes him as much as you, my Grandma likes to watch Strictly Come Dancing because of Bruce Forsyth and I don't think she'd particuarly want to see the "young blood" take his place just yet.:suspect:
