pattricia   579 #13 Posted October 8, 2006 Sure Bruce is getting on a bit but that is part of the show's charm, plus the fact that Bruce can dance himself and has been an entertainer means he's not just another ordinary TV presenter. He know's a bit about what the judges are looking for. As I said he is 78 so he may not be on the screens for too much longer, and I for one would be sorry to see him leave the show and British TV.  Didn't he do well! Not that well. Kept telling jokes that nobody laughed at .!! Give a younger, male presenter a chance. Tessas husband Vernon Kay would be terrific.Needs some young blood in it. Let Bruce retire gracefully. I can't imagine any one else presenting it.  As for the show - I think Mark Ramprakash or Spoony will win by tonights standards...Also, 'Ola to Ola!' I don't think so... he maybe in tune with the younger teenage audience but don't forget that many of the fans are also of the older generation who see Brucie as a nice familiar face that they can relate to. As for young blood, in case you hadn't noticed the show is full of young blood! Tess Daly and all the dancers are pretty young as well as some of the contestants. Why should it turn into a young persons only show?
