SheffieldForum   966 #12 Posted April 7 I do think people here are doing West Street down though.  The only slightly dodgy part is just outside the Tesco, and that’s at certain times of day from people less fortunate that are more than easily avoided.  The pubs and bars are all quite good and cater for their crowds in their own way. The Hallamshire Hotel is particularly great again since it’s refurb and reinstatement. But you have a great variety from Capones Speakeasy under Mr.Wilson’s to Steinhouse to Molly Malones, The Cavendish, The Beehive, etc.  You can get great smokehouse stuff at Firepit Rocks, there’s some fantastic Turkish places like Istanbul, a couple of super Japanese restaurants like Tsuki and Guysho, etc.  There’s loads going on just a stones thrown away from West Street too, so it is a good core place to be and drop to other places from.
