gaz678 Â Â 107 #15 Posted February 16 Don't they realise that they are building houses on flood plains causing flooding everywhere the water has to drain off and it can't because of concrete and tarmac !
 Share this content via...

Haven’t you got into the building game recently?
 Share this content via...

There is land all over the city where previous buildings have gone. there should be no more green fields taken until it's used up. We don't want developers making more millions - we want to go back to council building affordable dwellings, as when we had the PWD The councils should have been able to keep the money from council house sales so that they could build more. Well looking at the map of Sheffields greenbelt (page 14 of this document)  https://www.sheffield.gov.uk/sites/default/files/docs/planning-and-development/draft sheffield plan/Green Belt Review 21 September 2021.pdf  most of the greenbelt is moorland, nature reserves or in North East Derbyshire.  Not going to bring the council a great deal of money (and medical facilities are NHS funded). Like other people have said, better off using brownfield sites for development - unless of course they are polluted due to former industrial use.
 Share this content via...
