Hillsborough Leisure Centre

Plans are afoot to bulldoze the leisure centre , along with some others . This after spending five months refurbishing the swimming pool .

It's being demolished as part of Sheffields 15 minute city plans. A new housing complex with shops, offices, homes, entertainment and a gym will be built there and in the surrounding area.

There was a view to demolishing this leisure centre a while ago, they then decided to refurb it at great expense then decide to demolish it again, absolute clowns.

Well, it is SCC, and they do have a disturbing habit of being, shall we say, 'less than efficient/truthful'?

They have knocked down Chapeltown Leisure Centre too, so that just leaves Stocksbridge for those living in the north. It's still better than us in the South West, who have nothing.

They have built a brand new facility { Thorncliffe Health & Leisure Centre} on Pack Horse Lane, High Green (about one mile away). Just Here
