old tup   30 #1 Posted January 28, 2023 Has anyone read about the man walking his dog across a frosty ploughed field in Mosborough spotting what he thought was a kangaroo,he filmed it and on examination it loooks like a Wallaby, what next a herd of Wildebeast maybe, can it be true?. horribleblob   214 #3 Posted January 28, 2023 Perhaps an escapee from Yorkshire Wildlife Park over towards Doncaster. They have what they call a "Wallaby Walkabout" and I guess Mosborough could be within hopping range.
 Share this content via...

Funky_Gibbon   42 #5 Posted January 29, 2023 Apparently there have been wallabies living wild in the North for the last century but they're very rare and generally nocturnal.
 Share this content via...
Ghozer   113 #6 Posted January 30, 2023 There was 5 Wallabies that escaped a zoo somewhere in the peak district back during WW2 (I think, can't remember the exact details) that have apparently been living there since, and now there are thought to be 50+ There was a guy from Eckington (no longer living there) who posted that his pet kangaroo had escaped, a week or so ago, with a photo. But it was found (After being shared around) that the photo was taken from an older report in a different place a few months prior... So the ones that are being spotted, are likely part of this escaped wild group, there has been over 100 sighting reports since around 2008 ish.
