I f you want to talk about the politics of war please do so on another thread.

That’s the trouble with a public forum. You don’t always get what you want.

There is really no need.

It is perfectly possible to be respectful and remember those who fought in conflicts, whilst also remembering that some of those parading around at the services today, caused those conflicts.

I've been working on my family tree during the past couple of years.  Sadly, I've found (so far), that I am related to 15 men who died in WW1, some in unmarked graves and 4 in WW2.

It is all so very sad.

The poster objects to any political reference, you disagree with the objection, who should decide?

There is nothing to decide. It is a public forum.

I simply offer a humble thankyou to all the men and women who died in the name of fighting for freedom.

But l also look forward to the day when the barbaric practice of war as a means of settling disputes is a thing of the past.

It must have some rules, whatever they may be.

I'd like to say Big Respect to all the conscripted who had no choice but to go to war. 🙏

Can we please not bring politics into this thread and remember those that died and were injured serving their country never forgetting their families and friends.

War by it's very nature is political

I find it very sad that on a thread to remember the dead and injured plus their families we have to have bickering and attempts to include politics.

Says a lot about Sheffield Forum.
