Don't know about the Media undermining him , you do a good job of it .

You'd think that the Guardian was getting bungs from Tory HQ the number of anti-Starmer pieces they run.  Owen Jones and chums won't be happy until they have Jeremy and his comrades back and Labour are reduced to shouting impotently from the sidelines again.

And yet Labour still couldn't beat them!!!

Let that sink in.

That must be why Sunak daren't name the election date..

Any sensible bloke would have it in May before things get worse.

That is not a fact.  That is your own bias opinion.

Any sensible bloke in his position will hold the general election later in the year or early next after things get better.

That would work fine if things were going to get better but they are not,  and every political commentator seems to agree on that.

Posted (edited)

On Sunday Morning with Trevor Philips on Sky News,  they seem to think it makes no difference because he's done for whatever he chooses.

Political commentators are only interested in touting boom and gloom.

I don’t think summer will be a good time to hold a general election once the migrant small boats start to cross the channel and hundreds of asylum seekers start to land on our shores.

Well if Sunak was confident of winning why has he pulled out of 2rd May election a date he decided on?

Tory MPs were becoming active on social media and leaflets have been printed and sent out why do this if no election was been planned why go to the expense it's not cheap to produce booklets and leaflets for no reason?

The longer Sunak leaves it  the more risk to him been replaced by a new leader as the Party expect to do badly in the local May elections. Going long just means more losses for them in a future election. Sunak could be going long for a personal reason like wanting to complete the Indian trade deal that will benefit him personally then call an election . Sunak is only interested in personal enrichment not for party or the country.

Even a November election will still be quotes from the summer channel crossings, the best time for Sunak to have a GE is May - when the figures for the crossings will still be low from the winter. Perhaps January will be better, but the economy needs to improve, inflation increased in January 2024.
