bertyboop   10 #13 Posted October 6, 2017 I have a barbour coat that has an inside pocket and I love the idea of it. Handy to put your phone and money in if you don't want to take your bag.
 Share this content via...
dangerousedd   10 #14 Posted October 6, 2017 I thought the inside pocket used to be for your wallet or pocket watch?
 Share this content via...
horribleblob   214 #15 Posted October 6, 2017 My daughter has a winter coat with an inside pocket (as well as two on the outside) – it must be seven years old by now and has lasted well. 'Divided' by H&M.
 Share this content via...
AmberLeaf   10 #16 Posted October 6, 2017 Either sew one in yourself, or get a it altered for a few quid.  Don't really want to risk damaging it, it wasn't exactly cheap.  ---------- Post added 06-10-2017 at 19:44 ----------  My daughter has a winter coat with an inside pocket (as well as two on the outside) – it must be seven years old by now and has lasted well. Â From what I have noticed over the years when women don't have a bag in their hand or on their shoulder they walk around with their arms folded. GLASGOWOODS Â Â 10 #18 Posted October 6, 2017 Yesterday, I was looking for ages in Meadowhall, for a coat with an inside pocket. With no luck. I did end up getting a very nice coat from All Saints. But surely, women's coats could also have an inside pocket. I can't speak for other women, but I've got stuff I'd like to put in mine. Â Just wear your coat inside out. Problem solved. focemal   10 #20 Posted October 6, 2017 I like all my jacket pockets, for keys, phone, tobacco tin, pen, spare lighter, jewelers loupe and portable ashtray. I couldn't pull off carrying a hand bag and and as for man bags I'm just not cosmopolitan/metropolitan enough. Don't get me started on rucksacks, people should have to take a test like driving before being allowed to use one They are a menace! AmberLeaf   10 #22 Posted October 7, 2017 Just wear your coat inside out. Problem solved.  I best pass on that one. I'm sure people already think I look odd, I wouldn't want to add to that.  ---------- Post added 07-10-2017 at 07:21 ----------  It probably came about because of the size of wallets, which were large because of the size of English paper money in years gone by.Women always had handbags containing a large purse for their paper money. Suits have probably stayed the same due to traditional tailoring, even though wallets have been reduced in size, to more match the newer sizes of paper money. That is my two penneth on the matter anyhow. You could always stitch a patch type one in, seeing as you ladies are very good with needle and thread( he says ducking). LOL  Your probably right about that.As for my sewing skills, they're shocking. As are my cooking skills. Aren't I just gonna make a great wife for someone one day:gag:  ---------- Post added 07-10-2017 at 07:30 ----------  I'd like this rucksack https://ibb.co/hE2viw
 Share this content via...
