This maybe an unlikely link to the huge Bagshaw family tree.  :)

Mrs Bagshaw had a nice house in Shirebrook Rd, Heeley (circa 1950). She had apple trees in the back.

She was something of a tailoress.

After the war when clothing coupons were rationed, she made us kids "jerkin suits" for those who remember.

She made them out of old army blankets, which she dyed a bright green.

Itchy, ill fitting, and embarassing to wear at school!

My good friend and ex-colleague is of that name.  He still lives in Sheffield where he served as a police officer for over 47 years.

I used to go out with Sandra Bagshaw. She lived on Daffodil Road,  what was known as the flower estate
