Is it or is my honda cvr a 4x4

hi I have bought a Honda automatic, 4x4 but can't find the gear lever shift to put it in 4 wheel drive it is a 2 litre engine, 2001 year plate anyone help xxx:help:

If it's a CRV, 4WD selection is automatic when it detects wheel slip. You can't manually override it.

hi can be fully 4x4 anyone know if my Honda cvr automatic. just bought one that is 2000 plate it said it was a 4x4 but can't find a switch that puts it in 4x4 mode does it have one can anyone help me thanks :help: steve x

It's probably an AWD as opposed to 4WD.

It has a Honda DPS system (Dual pump system) which transfers drive to the rear wheels when needed and doesn't have a centre diff lock as such, not a manual one anyway. It will drive from the front wheels until it senses 4 wheel drive is needed ie a fully automatic system.
