Come on, he even sounds just like Chris Pratt too. And no, adding Jason Statham would not improve the show, unless you needed a cheesy cockney accent (like Fast & Furious, oh dear). Anyway, Iâve just finished episode 6 and so far, Iâm not disappointed. âGoing on up to the spirit in the sky . . .â

Iâve just finished episode 3 and so far itâs living up to my expectations. âHello, Spiveyâ I definitely see a resemblance of the main character to Patrick Swayze and Chris Pratt too. And at least this Reacher (all 6 foot 5 inches) matches the one in the novels ( sorry, Mr Cruise). Anyway, still 5 more episodes to go . . .

Iâll give this a look. Iâm not a fan of novels, but there are those with a more active imagination than me, and say the books are a good read.

Energy Price Cap-What Are People's Thoughts?
The Joker replied to Janus's topic in General Discussions
No, itâs the most blatant failing of Capitalism: the idea that greedy people will somehow work together out of the good of their hearts to benefit the rest of mankind. -

What Song Did You Used To Hate, But Love Now ?

I prefer Lady Gagagaga Chromatica got me through the first and seconds lockdowns . . . yeah I was listening to it a little too much -
I wouldn't go that far . . . I don't know who Ms Garraway is and I've no intention of watching her show but given the back & forth 'tween you and Pat, I'd argue that Ms Garraway is simply exploiting the medical and financial opportunities available to a well-connected celebrity like her; opportunities that a fully paid-up member of the proletariat like me will never get. Up the NHS.

What Song Did You Used To Hate, But Love Now ?
The Joker replied to pattricia's topic in Entertainment Chat
There are a couple of songs that I thought were boring when they were released in the 1980s, but I appreciate them more now and I wonât rush to change the radio station / throw a shoe at the television if I hear them: China in Your Hand - TâPau Take my Breath Away - Berlin -

Weâre doing well this year. Weâre averaging one RTC a week. -
Given the other âprizesâ were breakfast with Shagger Boris, and sushi with Jeremy Hunt, I would demanded the magic show too.

It's good to have you back again, rogets đ

Should Kate Josephs Resign As Sheffield's Ceo?
The Joker replied to Baron99's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
In all fairness, I don't know anybody in Sheffield who has anything positive to say about the council, ever. Maybe I should move in better circles. -

I could've sworn I've seen those scenes before in Belgium . . . Heysel 1985 I think it was. -
Jeez, Government officials have been at it for decades: MI5 did not tell police of minister's âpenchant for small boysâ, inquiry hears MI5 warned that Sir Peter Morrison, former minister of state for trade and industry, was rumoured to have a penchant for small boys back in the 1980s. The security service interviewed Sir Peter Hayman, a former high commissioner to Canada, who retired in 1984 and died in 1992, particularly about reports that in the 1950s when he was in Baghdad local boys had visited him for sexual purposes. The DPP, Hayman told MI5, had given him immunity from prosecution. Maurice Oldfield, a former head of MI6, who had told Thatcher that he had had âhomosexual encountersâ, dating back to the 1940s and 1950s, with âhouse boysâ and âhotel stewardsâ in Asia.

You mean Maggie Thatcher didnât know about Sir Jimmy Savileâs offences against children? Just like she didnât know about Sir Cyril Smithâs offences against children? I think we need another full and frank inquiry into what Maggie Thatcher knew and why she helped Sir Jimmy Savile and Sir Cyril Smith continue.
-
Why stop there? I say we find out which Evil Tory was prime minister at the time Sir Jimmy Saville was knighted and investigate them.

Well thereâs another problem. Brexit was always going to be completely unworkable unless you wanted a border between Great Britain and Northern Ireland. And as for trade deals that delay and restrict trade between the UK and the EU, and impose punitive tariffs when goods sent from mainland Britain arrive in the EU. . . How on earth was that supposed to assist free trade?
-
The fishermen and farmers very well might; our farmers are already being sacrificed as pawns to enable trade deals with Australia and New Zealand. https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2022/jan/29/nfu-president-farmers-are-pawns-in-brexit-negotiations The president of the National Farmersâ Union has accused the government of using British food producers as a âpawnâ in post-Brexit trade deals. Minette Batters, who has led the organisation representing British farmers since 2018, said âthe most prized food market in the worldâ had been âhanded over for nothingâ by ministers, in their rush to sign wide-ranging free-trade agreements with Australia and New Zealand after the UKâs departure from the European Union.

Good grief, you are thick. First you want a full investigation into Starmer, then you backtrack and say you now want to investigate the DPP instead. Iâll tell you what: Letâs wait to see what the Sue Gray report says about Starmer, eh ?
-
Unfortunately, Shagger Boris had already made it quite clear there was to be no investigation into historic child abuse offences. âMoney spaffed up the wallâ was Shagger Borisâ comment on the matter.
-
Yes, that was the problem dear

<COUGH> Thanks, I just spluttered my tea over the carpet đ Can you warn me next you make a sarky comment ? You've just wasted a perfectly good cup of tea.
