Needs them outside the school, epically the shop.

Anywhere else I don't know what affect they have. At school kick out time it's carnage with all the mother's parking their cars in silly places near the school

Painting double yellows means they can be ticketed and fined :)

we hope!! they should double yellow all the roads within a few hundred yards of the school too then. maybe the lines would actually pass the homes of some of the drivers....and im not joking!!

The road is being altered vastly! It`s having traffic calming put in place parking restriction`s amongst other things. The notices were displayed on street lighting posts and other places in the area. I can`t find link at moment but was also on council website

As far as tickets and fines are concerned they rather have an easy lazy evening and ticket Cineworld going people parking safely on an oversized sidewalk than running after moms and kids at school.

Enforcement is a joke in Sheffield. When parking illegal on double yellow north America you walk away from your car, turn around and it is being towed away, now that is tight.

they can use as much yellow paint as they like--what is needed is enforcement!! you have only to look round woodhouse village to see this especially down the side of costcutter, this is usually parked nose to tail all the way down to the car park at the rear.

I have often wondered why they are allowed to get away with parking there, especially as there is usually room in the car park.

Have you ever tried reporting it to Parking Services?

Give them a call on 2736255 if you see any inappropriate parking which requires enforcement.

Utter rubbish.

Different problems at different times of the day, which aren't related in any way.

School entrances are enforced daily, but there are only a around 60 enforcement officers to cover the whole city for the whole day.

There are hundreds of schools, so they can't visit each one on a daily basis, but they do enforce around schools daily. They receive attention on a rota basis or special visits can be made to address reported issues. They have two camera enforcement vehicles, which patrol the enforceable (not all of them are) school entrance markings on a daily basis.

Your name, "planner" says it all

There are no hundreds of schools in Sheffield. It is round about almost 100 but you falsely make it sound as if it is more than double that.

If you really had 60 enforcement officers, what are they doing? I see many people who don't care or worry where they park and these 60 officers must be playing cards in the office or perhaps doing some other jobs that are needed.

Then when there is a football match or other big event they go and get the easy ones, but not sort the really bad traffic blockers of Sheffield.
