It's interesting, I was listening to James Obrian on LBC radio the other day and his topic was Champagne Socialists and why people thought they were unable to relate to the working class because they had money, are you saying that he too can't relate to the working class because he was born into a rich family. I think Farage can relate to the working class, he says it how it is and doesn't pull any punches, the people like his straight talking manner. Farage was raised by his mum after his father left the family, we all have different experiences in life, maybe that's what makes him so down to earth.

By the way, Janice Atkinson WAS suspended - and then expelled! As happens with anyone who steps out of line. Which other party does this?

No party does it as often as UKIP because they don't have as many nutcases.

And here's today's suspension;

"The UK Independence Party has suspended a parliamentary candidate over a slur sent to a Jewish Labour candidate from his Twitter account.

Jack Sen, who is standing in West Lancashire, sent the tweet to Liverpool Wavertree candidate Luciana Berger.

The post reads: "Protect child benefits? If you had it your way you'd send the £ to Poland/ Israel."

UKIP said the comments "in no way reflects the view of the party" or any of their other "dedicated candidates"".

You can get 3-1 on less than 10% of the vote. Put your money where your mouth is! ;)

if they really are 3-1 at 10% or below then I think I will. I reckon the Tories may get a bit of a late surge at their expense, and of course it doesn't help UKIP's numbers that they are standing in every Scottish seat, where with a battle royal going on, they will be lucky to get 5%, if that.

Discerning who is and who is not a terrorist would not be such a problem if we just stopped allowing any immigration. If there is a genuine skills shortage on a scale and with a need that can not be met by offering training to citizens of the country involved then by all means recruit some foreign workers on temporary basis. They come here they do the work they get paid they go home back to their families.

It would appear that he only people that are likely to object to this strategy are people who do not care about the economic future of our nation and nor do they seem to care about the safety of the people already living here.

At the same time they think it is fine to impose their will upon everyone else, and there are some of us that are still naive enough o believe we live in a democaracy.

Is he thinking what you're thinking? Then you must be hard of thinking.

the UK has never had an MP called Wayne. That is an Australian name and they have had loads of MP's, called Wayne and they also had loads of Kevins. The first Kevin to come into the UK parliament was in 1987. Labour of course.

I note that UKIP candidates have made stupid/crass/bigoted remarks/tweets/postings so as a person intending to vote UKIP I offer to change my vote on the following condition. You find me a political party who has not had a MP/candidate/spokes person make a stupid/crass/bigoted remark/tweet or posting and I will vote for them. Guess that rules out Labour, Conservative ,Libdem, Greens, SNP or the welsh lot. Guess I will be voting for the non sexual, non conformist party of the hebridean island with a population of 1 ( gender not known )who just happens to be standing as MP for that island. Every party has stupid people involved in it that make remarks that some other portion of society object to, merely putting the UKIP ones on here achieves nothing more than me putting the Labour ones on a Labour thread. Less than a week to go and the fuss will be over.

Other parties do it as well! But you can add fraud, paedofiles, wife bashing, attempted murder and so on.

When one UKIP Member or supporter makes one slip it's plastered all over the place - by Labour, Cons, LibDems and the media!

When one UKIP Member or supporter makes one slip.....

Just one? The selection process for Basildon took several months owing to one fruitcake after another making a prat of himself. Apparently the selection process there for 2020 starts next Friday just so everyone else can have a chance of resigning in disgrace.
