Guest
Right , I was wondering , do any of you buy things like frozen jacket potatoes because you cant be bothered to cook a normal one from scratch . ... Yes, all the time. With the exception of the odd bit of baking, I detest cooking and I'm generally rubbish at it. Thankfully, Sainsbury's, Waitrose, Tesco and the like have a fabulous selection of 'Finest' and similar ranges. I don't eat fast food as a rule, though I do like a chicken something or other from MacDonalds from time to time. I had a fantastic goats cheese and wheatberry salad from Waitrose for lunch, and pea and asparagus soup from Sainsbury's for dinner. Yum.
ATUB
Anyone who eats food cooked in a microwave is asking for health problems-- period. Try this out. Get two small plants and nuke the water for a few minutes. Now give this water to one of the plants only for a few weeks. It will start to die. Not this one again:rolleyes: It is total nonsense. Try this instead: Heat food up in a microwave as often as you like. Don't die prematurely.

amberleaf808
We use frozen sometime. But my better half is a fantastic cook . She is mostly busy saving lives at the hospital and I have a go. Some time frozen food.
*_ash_*
But why ? If you're that hungry pick up a bag of nuts or something on the way home. Real food is worth waiting for. I had chicken pakora and chips tonight btw, from our local rat house. That is the crux though. Far too complex to write out in a post though. Allen
How hard is it to peel a couple of spuds! Stick in the oven for roasties...boil in a pan for mash. Meat? Chicken breast wrapped in bacon....45 minutes in the oven. Pork chops.....45 minutes in the oven, together with the roasties. Pork joint....2 hours in the oven....with enough leftovers for sandwiches for lunch for a couple of days. Braising steak......in the slow cooker. Quick meal.....sausage egg and mash. Now cooking for one now I'm widowed.....but yes, I cook! I cheat on the veg though and use frozen....it saves on wastage. Frozen ready meals are just the lazy way....and let's be honest here, they ain't nice at all.
