jemson
I wonder if a few records will tumble this weekend. Weather looks really good and that makes such a difference for most folk.

Flanker7
The Pirate is back after a Grand Slam of all the French parkruns. They were very good too, small events with a really friendly vibe. We were hoping to top their most events page but a chap called Peter Fordham flew down to Toulouse especially for their first event 3 weeks ago and beat us to it. Our 100% record only lasts till this weekend due to another event starting near Dijon. N.B. - It only takes 3 different events to get on their most events page The bad news about Little Stoke had made it across the parkrun community to France. I hope the runners down in Bristol find another venue a.s.a.p. I don't think that the Councillors down there realise national and international 'reach' of parkrun and they have tainted the former good name of their community for decades to come. rogets
What happens on these runs if someone falls over while running? Is there an emergency action plan and if so what is the protocol?
Flanker7
Sheffield & Rotherham parkrun attendances for Saturday 28th May 2016. 56 - Concord 218 - Graves Park 209 - Hillsborough 39 - Castle 580 - Hallam Total - 1102 198 - Rother Valley 60 - Clifton Park Total - 258 Overall total = 1360 Christmas Day and New Years Day are the only extra parkruns. At almost all parkrun events there are large numbers of people who are recovering from, or who have serious conditions and many who are finding their way back to fitness. Therefore, there are systems in place to deal with falls and collapses and our the tail runner is briefed with this in mind. As to an actual protocol I don't know try parkrun HQ. Have you had a fall? or witnessed an incident? Edited May 30, 2016 by Flanker7
sharpend
It's impossible for event directors to take responsibility for anyone and everyone. Mostly people they don't know and have never seen before. If I ever saw anyone collapse, it would just be a 999. Same as if I saw a stranger collapse while out running normally. Strange question though...
