Oh Carol Posted July 12, 2013 Share Posted July 12, 2013 Wrrrrrrrrrrrroooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng!Lets get it right!...........Anything above the Sportsman is old Stannington village.......anything below the Sportsman is the district of Stannington ........and right down to Malin Bridge if you like where Stannington Road starts.Years ago anything below the Sportsman was never considered to be in Stannington,but for whatever reason it is now,and if people living below the Sportsman so wish to say they live in Stannington..............power to you,why not!
