Gleadly   11 #2 Posted March 21, 2013 There's a fairly new one at St Marys Road, not far from Granville Road.  I think it's been there for 2 or 3 years. Map
 Share this content via...

Daven   10 #8 Posted March 31, 2015 There's a fairly new one at St Marys Road, not far from Granville Road. I think it's been there for 2 or 3 years. Map  Is that the one that looks as though it's in the middle of the roundabout ? Not such a good place if you prefer to exercise without a passing audience imo. Stanleybobs   10 #9 Posted March 31, 2015 Has anyone any experience of using the Kenwood Hall Leisure Club Gym, costs etc  Kenwood costs £5 for a one-off visit. Monthly I think it's £31. Upstairs there are 2 treadmills, elliptical trainer, different types of bikes, and a couple of weight machines. Downstairs are all the main weight machines (haven't used this room at all). You can use the pool too but it's fairly small. The gym's never busy at all. It's open till quite late, 10pm I think.
 Share this content via...

DerbyTup   10 #11 Posted March 31, 2015 Just wondering if anyone knows a good gym that isnt always full? around sheffield city centre area? thanks  I'd be wary of "a good gym that isn't busy". So many of these places start up and close down again and people can lose their money.  Gyms get busy for a reason - usually because they are good in one way or another - from a location, value or facility perspective.  Pure Gym ought to be the least likely to be busy seeing as it's open 24 hours - and it's cheap to join. Depends what you want from a gym? Fitness machines and weights only? or swimming pool, sauna, climbing wall, dance classes, aerobics, boxing, martial arts, etc. etc.  One of the main considerations is location. If it's too far from where you live or work, statistics show that people don't keep up attendance.  Good luck.
 Share this content via...
