Anyone else irritated by the post office's special offer for Christmas?

Oh dear, another wind up merchant trolling...Do go away!

Not at all just someone with a different opinion to yours regarding a postage stamps discount and you decide to make personal assumptions about people instead of discussing the pro's and con's of the subject.

Look back I have given an opinion on the pro's and con's but that post of mine you chose to ignore prefering to assume I am on benefits just becuase I agree with the move by the post office.

Now the best thing would be post about the subject and not dig at the first person who gives an alternate view on it don't you think?

Put simply don't dish it out if you can't take it back.;).

I've been wondering how many Christmas cards people actually post.

My guess is that most are sent 2nd class, but as Mrs Bloke normally prefers to use me as her own personal delivery service (at least for the local area) I don't really have any idea.

Can anybody help? :)

I've just asked the wife and we post about eight cards, I'm gonna ask the single mother on benefits down the road to get me the stamps cheaper.;):hihi:.

Most christmas cards we send are delivered personally.

I would have thought that most cards are handed over personally these days.

So if we say 10 are posted (to make the sums easier) - that's a saving of £1.40 for every household on benefits that sends cards.

I don't really see this being much of a help to anyone over the expensive Christmas period. :(

I send about forty cards a year, almost all by post as they are to people scattered over most of Europe. My "local" ones, that is friends and family get handed over as I visit them in the normal course of things during December, that's probably another 20 or so.
