Messingham sands islands

as any 1 fished the island match lake at messingham as iv got a match on there this sunday and was wanting a bit ov info cheers

Depends on what pegs you have, the carp are big and you need decent well balanced tackle, locals use 8 to 10lb line on method 6/7lb hook lengths, pegs in 50s are nice but can be hard work due to lillys, pegs in 20s to 40s on the spit chuck out to bushes or small islands but hang on lol, lots of silverfish to go at usually about 4/5m. Fishery only pellet for feed and hook. hope thats a start but others will also give you some advice, good luck.

hello thanks for the advice i normally fish we the feeder first then go on the pole down the edge later on in the day . wat size mm pellet would you used ? and is meat,corn any good on there cheers

Again personal choice but you can buy 8mm and 11mm, just ask in the cabin what has been working, corn can be very good on the right pegs, meat also worth a try as the skimmers will have it.

you will do well on dog biscuit on top there if warm weather also ive caught quite a few on cheese and plenty on bread if you can keep it on hook long enough that is
