Cardboard   10 #1 Posted March 19, 2012 Hi All,  Can anyone recommend any campsites between Sheffield and Manchester pls?  Wanting somewhere really quiet, basic facilities - just to get us away from it all (although would love a pub nearby!). Ideally no/little caravans around!   Cheers
 Share this content via...

GrannyGranny   10 #4 Posted March 19, 2012 Try ukcampsites website and do a search.  http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/calcdist.asp?bar=&shop=&restaurant=&md=5&l=53.345633&lg=-1.771545  Try Edale valley. Quiet and some are within walking distance of Edale itself.
 Share this content via...
beefface   10 #5 Posted March 19, 2012 Definitely 'Coopers' at Edale, lovely village, at the foot of Kinder Scout AND 2 lovely boozers minutes away, The Nags Head and The Rambler Inn in the most stunning part of the High Peak. rosaespanola   10 #11 Posted March 21, 2012 North Lees near Hathersage (at the foot of Stanage Edge) or Upper Booth near Edale would both probably suit you - small, quiet, no caravans, basic but OK facilities.
 Share this content via...
