megalithic
Hi I am a knapper in Sussex who teaches at Sussex Uni and works in Archaeology with especial interest in the palaeolithic If you pay the postage I will send you all the flint you could ever want Alternatively you could try the old victorian square kitchen sinks or scrap insulators from pylons, plate glass, bottle bottoms or anything that takes a conchoidal fracture I get chalcedony from my local tropical fish centre (pretty rocks for fish tanks) and white quartz from my local garden centre PalaeoBob Hey Bob, only just seen this reply, i'll return the e-mail. Thanks.

tzijlstra
Apologies for bumping a 4 year old thread, but I'm still looking if anyone can help. Shouldn't apologise for it if it is relevant (PS good to have you back!) I did a course in flint knapping when I was a kid in the Netherlands, we used to find flint on the beach/shoreside of the Northern isles and learned about it from a local charity. Unfortunately this is ages ago and I don't remember most of it. Hope you get some more local response this time!
Alcoblog
I did a course in kidnapping if that's of any use?

Olive
I guess you've already thought of this but have you tried contacting the Cresswell crags visitor centre? We went on a tour of the caves a couple of years ago and the guide was showing us how to knapp.
