Beauty products from the old days

Recommended Posts

My Mum used to use a hair setting lotion which was a sort of sloppy gel, it was bright greeny blue and called 'Dippity doo'..Yes, it really was !

My nans used Coty Laimant and Yardley's Freesia perfumes !!!

Yes I'm sure I remember adverts on TV for Dippity doo.

My mum always wore Yardleys Lily of the Valley and my Gran wore 4711 eau do cologne. I wore Charlie. I also remember trying beauty tips from Jackie magazine including egg white as a pore tightening face pack, vinegar in my hair rinsing water and even one tip whereby if you had run out of shampoo you could mix one part washing up liquid with one part milk and use that.
