Yeah, Asda have bought it up. They've got 18 across South Yorkshire apparently. They didn't want the one in Manor though, so they've flogged it off to someone else.

Well as of last night it was still open and still Netto.

 

Apparently ASDA have promised more staff when they take it over.

I think the Walkley Netto is to be sold on to a London firm like Fortnums or someone.Apparently they believe its a good site due to Nick Clegg popping in now and again for supplies of tissues.The Middlewood Road site will become a Tesco(local) as the new boss of Tesco PLC is a Wdenesdayite- he is Terry Leahys right hand man.
