foxy lady
I've just got back from lunch and my hanging baskets are swarming with bumble beas and hover flies. There are hundreds of them, but no wasps. When I think back I can't remembe seeing more than a couple all year. Where have they gone? Is everyone else similarly devoid of wasps or have mine migrated to your patch?
Stoatwobbler
They appear to have all migrated to Frinton-on-Sea in Essex, judging by how many of the annoying blighters were buzzing around there on Saturday morning!
horribleblob
Give them a couple more weeks - they'll be here.
Bulgarian
I haven't seen many bees this year either, I've not got a single passion fruit this year due to the lack of pollination.

mojo1
I've seen a few but only been harrassed once so far this summer. August Bank Holiday, that's when they'll hit!
Mahiri
They are certainly round my neck of the woods, was driving with the window down yesterday with one arm out and had one fly onto my wrist. I was flapping my arm about like a right idiot.

denlin
They're all down at our caravan park living in the eaves of the owners house and the little darlings only come out when we're having a BBQ but never bring their own food and drink:roll:
foxy lady
It has been a real joy so far this year. I can leave all the windows open all day and nothing seems to have come in except a few hover flies, one pigeon, an occasional squirrel. and a bat one night. It has been the same at barbecues although midges were a problem some evenings in early summer.
