It was a very good side, quite possibly as good or better than Wednesday's in the 90s... But you should probably look up the meaning of the word 'fact'. :hihi::hihi:

How would you know Snook, you were not even born

I can tell you now the united side of 70-71 or 71-72 would have got mullered by the Wednesday side of the early 90s and anyone who thinks otherwise is seriously deluded And yes I did see both sides play

Mullered :suspect: Give over Michael

I can tell you I am not seriously deluded mate.

The year you finished 3rd in the league with this brilliant team i keep hearing about that would muller our 1970-72 team had the double done over them by our rubbish team in 1991-92

Alright then, maybe not mullered, but definately beaten, what was it that Alan Ball said about that United team back then ? (and yes I know Currie got his own back) Something about being a mediocre third division side :hihi:

Anyway I do think the Wednesday side of the early 90s was the best footballing side I have seen in this city and that includes United's side of the early 70s.

Why what did Wednesday win with the team that finished 3rd in the League?

Read back over the thread cocker, it mentions the 90s team, you know, the one that beat Manchester United 1-0 to win the League cup final in 91.

I saw both teams too and i think the united side of the early 70's would have beaten the owls of the 90's. thats if currie was'nt rolling about on the floor laughing at carlton palmer trying to control the ball. behave mate

Palmer would have ripped Currie a new ass mate, no shame in that though, he did the same to most tallented midfielders back then:hihi::hihi:
