ricgem2002 Â Â 11 #37 Posted January 10, 2010 I can't believe theres a thread on this....and the amount of people slagging parents off! My husband already did this last week, put a load of grit into the boot of his discovery (shock, horror!!) and put it around the school playground and car park. He also acted as an unofficial traffic warden so kids could cross the busy road, as the usual one couldn't make it to work. He is prepared to do it all again tomorrow if needs be. tell him to be careful in helping the kids across the road because in this day and age he would probably be sued if some little kiddie had a fall, and the lager swilling parent could see a claim for compo arising because he hadnt got a crb check because he would be around kids
 Share this content via...
scargill   10 #38 Posted January 10, 2010 JERK! What grit bin of salt would that be then?  .  But for fear of loosing all the grit, I can tell you two grit bins that are half full, or were at 9pm on Sunday.
 Share this content via...

And he will continue to help regardless cos he wouldn't be able to stand knowing a child got hurt if he didn't help.
 Share this content via...
mj.scuba   10 #41 Posted January 10, 2010 Tony has come up with a good concept.  Why don't the army of childless folk grab a bucket of grit and a snow shovel, walk to work or wherever they cash their giro these days, shovel the snow off the paths and sprinkle the grit as they go?
