Lady Star   10 #13 Posted April 26, 2009 cow freshmans bang bang  Not especially good for vintage those ones - for high quality vintage better off at Broadfield road and Langtons on London Road (top of, where it becomes chesterfield road)...  Cow only sell 80's stuff, which isn't really vintage, retro maybe;) Freshmans sometimes get some decent 60's stuff in, but very hit and miss these days and bang bang never seem to have much of anything at all, which is a shame as it's a decent sized shop in a pretty good location - but it's fairly new and has time to improve:)  The antiques places on Broadfield Road have some great 30's and 40's pieces in regularly, good prices too:) Occasionally you can find things earlier still... Langtons sell fantastic 30's 40's and 50's hats, mostly American and I bought a amazing British made 1950's grey silk wiggle dress at Christmas for £30! Immaculate too! donuticus   10 #18 Posted July 6, 2010 Cow reminds me of a big charity shop TBH, but more expensive.  Isn't that what all vintage shops are?  Either second hand crap or stuff people didn't buy first time round because it looked bloody awful.
