  1. Maybe someone should setup a petition pro this. I know many people who would definitely sign that.
  2. I am the sole person in this group of companies IT department. No software has been installed without me doing it for a decade, nor has anyone else dealt with purchasing of licenses during this time. I estimate the shortfall between usage and paying for the software to be around £26,000 so we are not talking huge figures but not small either. I am after leverage, yes. Or just knowing what my options are. Only a fool would be unhappy in a job without looking at what alternatives exist and plodding on. Times are hard though and I have a family to support. I've been searching for a suitable replacement job for a few months now and they are in short supply. If the best option is to say/do nothing and keep the status quo so I don't lose an income, then I will do just that. I saw CD as a means to insure against a longer period of time without a job.
  3. ok that makes sense. I think I need to grow a pair and put this to the test, as I have no idea what the outcome would be should I say I am not prepared to do this. I do have email instructions, as we archive these offsite for many years I think that would count as evidence. Thanks.
  4. I won't lie, I am looking for a way out that gives me some recompense whilst I search for a job that I find more suitable. Over the last decade me and my job have started to not like each other as much as they once did, and I don't think other people's wage in comparison to mine is fair. However that said, It's not a reason to complain. I do however have a long standing complaint that I have been asked to install software that I know licenses do not exist for, and I have identified over 100 instances of this happening. I have again been asked to install this software after yet again bringing this to the appropriate persons attention. I have no where else I can escalate the issue to, I have reached the top of the business. Can I use this as leverage should I decide to go constructive dismissal? I have a few other issues that I can use for leverage, however I am hoping to find myself a new job and bypass this whole scenario if possible. On the other side of this I have a niggling doubt - am I, or could I myself be liable in some way should this company ever get found out? I am not at manager level.
  5. If Wednesday keep recent form up till end of season, it's not beyond the realms of possibility.
  6. I haven't found myself in this situation, but my first thought would be to take a photo on your phone of the vehicle as you abandon it and then again as you recover it. That will make sure any ticket you receive is easily argued. ---------- Post added 05-02-2013 at 16:27 ---------- Don't know why I did not see that as I replied....sorry!
  7. Could do with the game going ahead rather then getting fixtures pile up
  8. that is a bit short sited. It would not take long to jam up a phone line if everyone did that, however many people can access a web page simultaneously. Still, don't let that get in the way of a sarcy reply!
  9. I hope those 7 on the front page weren't models and they are actually your sales people?
  10. I get my kids to do our family car, they are lazy swines so it does them good.
  11. It was rammed on opening day. That will be the only time it makes a profit. I would imagine it's closed within 12 months in that location. I love how so many Hungry Horse employee's are on this thread bigging it up!!!
  12. I gave my daughter what I had in my pocket at the time - £1.50 The poppy seller was happy to take it off her and asked her which popply she wanted, he acknowledged me as having sent her over with the money as if to ask "can I take the whole amount" I nodded, he winked.....I think the moral of the story is they will accept whatever you have to offer. It's a good way to rid yourself of some loose change and feel better about yourself.
  13. Ha, cheers - i'm sure your sister probably server me many of time after I came out of the Travelers.......which I note also doesn't exist anymore either!
  14. Number 1 would be Sheffield Utd. Last years SUFC were better then this years SUFC.
  15. I am saying look at last years teams in this division, and at least 10 were better then the CURRENT top 2 in the same division this year.
  16. I have been out of Sheffield some 25 years. I remember the KFC not being where it is now on City Road, I'm sure that used to be a derelect house and the KFC was in one of the terraced houses further down, or is my mind playing tricks? Not much seems to have changed but that is really confusing me!
  17. Everything I have seen so far this season points to an extremely poor league. Look at Tranmere, that team wouldn't be in last season's top 10 the same time last season.
