  1. Menkind upstairs in Meadowhall sell all men rock products, such as beard soap and oil, don't use usual shampoo on your face, it's not good for your skin
  2. Yes that was my worry but I thought I'd give it a shot anyway, oh well live and learn.
  3. Just looking at becoming an owner driver, previously worked for city link but this was a couple years ago and was through an agency, so really just looking for some information on a few things, I.e: How you go about getting holidays Which company is best to work for Which company pays best What system the company uses At the minute I've got my eye on Ipost from UK mail, as I've heard good things about these, just wondering if theirs any more advice I can get. Thanks, John
  4. Early next year I will be proposing to my partner, she has no clue (and doesn't use this forum luckily!). Rather than going into all the details of the proposal I will just say for now that it is to involve a band performing various songs that are dear to me and my partner, some of these songs can be worlds apart so the artists would need to be very diverse, as an example here are a few of the songs: Many of horror - biffy Clyro The power of love - Gabrielle Aplins version The first time ever I saw your face - Roberta Flack High hopes - Kodaline Among others I'm hoping to find a young indie band to fit the description but I am open minded, if you think you could be of assistance PM me and we can talk further about pricing and set lists etc Thank you P.S. A little about me and my partner, we are in our early 20s with 2 small children, I enjoy indie rock whilst she enjoys anything with live instruments and a beautiful voice, hopefully this will help you determine if you are the right band for the job
  5. Long story short I had an engagement ring custom made and never got round to getting it hallmarked (found it unnecessary as I thought I would never need to sell it) life then happened, she decided to take our son and leave (sob story over) now I'm stuck with a £2100 ring with no hallmark, unfortunately I had a good job when I bought it but now not so much (bet you can't guess why she left me), anyway I don't want to pay a ridiculous amount to get it hallmarked as I would like to make a profit when I sell it, which brings me to my point. Des anybody know a place in or around sheffield where I can get this hallmarked? And maybe a price? Thank you
  6. I made it 5 years through the hole too unfortunately, my sister however did not, she had to move school due to bullying, i never got bullied but even so I would not even consider placing my son there, and as to all the people who will reply with argumentative comments, this is just my opinion, which I am entitled to, and I will not grace any 'lash-backs" with a reply. Hope this helps OP
  7. I have a htc one x that has been water damaged a couple months back, I was just wondering if anybody on here knew how to recover files from the hard drive, their are pictures of my sons first Xmas etc so would just be nice to get them before I throw the phone
  8. There's always one isn't their, if a taxi driver would have tried kicking me and my son out on the cold street he'd have been in for a rough day
  9. Which is more quiet? The one across from the college or the one at millhouses? I used to go to the one across from the college and it was always pretty busy, I'm rejoining and was thinking if millhouses is a little more quiet would prefer to join that one this time, any help would be appreciated, thank you
  10. Just wondering how people in sheffield feel about this Now I'm catholic, but I have no problem with any other religions or agnostic/atheists But... If there was a Christian only day at Alton towers, this would spark off a race war faster than you could say "can I get 2 tickets" This is exactly why there has never been any kind of Christian/Jewish/Scientology etc. ONLY day at places like this Now I find this prejudice against all other religions, that's the opinion I am entitled to, I understand Muslims do not drink or gamble, and only eat certain foods, but surely you can go to Alton towers, not drink, not gamble, eat the food you choose, and still have a good time, on any other day, why should their be a certain day allocated only to one religion? Thoughts...
  11. If you've got an offensive weapon, and you tell a police officer about it, what do you expect?
  12. I used to think sheffield was a friendly place to live, then i joined sheffield forum and saw all the stereo typing and b******g, makes me ashamed to be from sheffield
  13. Some of you people make me sick, yes maybe for some people earning enough money it is easy to provide for a family, but some people aren't so lucky, I am a qualified joiner, I have a license to drive a 360 crane, a MEWP, 2 forms of FLT, I have plenty of experience in graphic design AND web design, the list goes on, yet I am a delivery driver, because Thor are no jobs, infant let me rephrase that, their are no jobs that pay a sufficient wage to provide for a family without having to get all the help you can, luckily my other half earns well above enough to sort us out, but if that wasn't the case we would have to rely on benefits to keep a roof over our head, some people aren't just benefit bashes, some people do actually need it, that's why it's there in the first place, some people need all the help they can get, and humanity says that we should look out for our fellow humans, and half of you just jump on the bandwagon and slag them off on here, you disgust me
  14. Luckily I had, my point is somebody had found this phone, (there was no lock on it) so chances are they've looked through it, seen that there are precious memories on it, and not even made an effort to call a number in the phone, and "if they were that important or precious" does it get anymore precious than your baby?
  15. I lost mine last year and it had some very personal things on it, pictures of my son as a baby and what not, it wasn't a great phone or worth much and it was blocked within 2 days so would have been of no use, posted on here and nobody replied, never seen it since. So it is nice to know there are some people with the decency to return some bodies personal belongings out there
  16. How do you know there single mums? My partner is a young mother, she sometimes goes into town shopping while I'm at work, upon seeing her would you automatically assume she's a single working class mother who lives in a council house? The stereotyping on here just gets worse and worse, who are you to judge these girls? Are you god? Am I speaking to god? Hello god, please continue your blind judging because that's what this world needs (seeing as your so good at assessing situations without knowing the full depth of them you will already sense the strong hint of sarcasm in my tone)
  17. If a thief is in your area, they're already there, I put any scrap I have out for the scrap man, it's always gone within the day, I've never had anything stolen by scrap men, I had my house burglarised for all it's content and there was no "bait" for the thieves, just opportunistic scum who had already decided what they were doing, I just happened to be the unlucky one, and as for rats, they sniff the food out, a scrap man cannot sense where scrap is, otherwise the job would be a lot easier, anyway we have digressed enough, this is not particularly helpful to the OP
  18. I worked in a scrap yard for 4 years (3 of the same branch in diiferent locations) and the stereotyping on here is f*****g ridiculous, I'll tell you now that 90% of our customers were honest, legit people trying to put food on there tables and a roof over there head in an ever declining recession, yes you do get the odd thief and scoundrel but these were more often than not met by the police at the end of our drive, your forgetting every sector has its downfalls, constructions got cowboy builders, logistics have got people without the relevant licence, cosmetics have got people who inject you with industrial silicone (for anybody who's been watching this morning) fact is you can't assume that every single scrap man is a thief when most are just trying to get by. And as for the OP there are plenty of scrap men who will take your fridge, there's a yard just into chesterfield that gives you £100 per tonne and recycles them legitimately and in an environmentally friendly way. (Now I can't wait to hear the backlash I get for this post)
  19. No there wasn't a question as to wether it was something in our atmosphere, it was definitely something entering our atmosphere and burning up, the only question was what was it that entered, a meteor or space junk ---------- Post added 23-05-2013 at 21:19 ---------- To say nibiru's orbit is on average 3600 years (1 shar) it moved pretty fast!
  20. Also if I've got a sign saying "baby on board" and you get inches up my arse when I'm driving at the speed limit, I will follow you home and make sure you respect the safety of children
  21. Haha shame, it was in te opposite direction to the moon from where I was situated so that could be the reason ---------- Post added 22-05-2013 at 23:57 ---------- I'm in heeley so could well have been a different fire (or potential crash site )
  22. There was a big fire on my road, that's the reason I went out and just so happened to catch a glimpse of the meteor, fire brigade has just been up to put it out ---------- Post added 22-05-2013 at 23:43 ---------- Thanks for the correction, doubt it landed as it looked as if it burned up in the atmosphere
  23. Yes I thought not but don't know the greatest deal about these things, was a good sight though
