Thank you again for spreading the word - so many are awaiting in rescue for their forever home - Why people are buying when rescue dogs are crying ( for a home) - I will never know. NIX xxx

  9. Think its now on Herris Road - One of my friends has just called me - please try and catch it as it doesnt look in a good way. Thank you - Anyone in the area please look out for it - Poor dog
  10. Im not going to waste time defending as anyone that knows what Rain Rescue do wouldnt hesitate to know that they take as many staffys as they can from death row every week. We love the staffies and there is nothing better, but with 17 dogs on the books at the moment 10 of them being staffys or bully types plus 1 akita - 1 old terrier with medical problems it doesnt need any calculations into how long the rescue would keep running if we took any more. I myself foster for Rain and out of the 64 fosters i have had there is only a few staffs I can take into foster having 2 yorkshire terriers and a jack russel. Thank you all for your comments re Rain - You know what we do and how hard it is when we are all in meltdown everyweek knowing that there are just so many we cant help that we have to focus on the ones we can. As an individual it is alot easier rehoming just the 1 dog that it is burning yourself into the ground trying to save the world in which we all wish we could. Please dont slag the rescues as without them the ones we can save wouldnt be here now. Nix
  11. Not forgetting our Oscar now - what a wonderful lad he is now in his new home http://www.rainrescue.co.uk/news/oscar-loving-gentleman-lurcher/ Yep fabcakes we sure have - when you see the total states of these lovely dogs its incomprehensible - Dogs like Tia the dobie .. how could we ever forget her - skin so sore, bleeding to touch hard to understand who are the animals as it is total neglect - But then the outcomes help - seeing them moving onto their new homes a different dog. Just so so hard with the volume of dogs needing help - Thank you for sharing the rescue dogs - the more promotion they get the nearer they get to finding their forever homes
  12. So pleased she is safe and one of the lucky ones to be moving on .... Please keep sharing the Sheffield pound dogs as they are so need of a loving home. So many sad stories - One where the owner has passed away and others lived together but what does there future hold... Poor staffies being abandoned / lost / change of circumstances / unwanted Please keep passing on the message that there are so many in need of a home and who desperately need a home.
  13. Can you put a link up please as quite a few ex rescue dogs from around the area and I cant find and cannot abide scrolling through the poor dogs who's fate is in the idiots hands who are giving them away. Thanks

  16. I know people can get attached but when you find them perfect homes Its so satisfying knowing you have been a stepping stone in thier lives leading to a most wonderful future - and there is no better feeling especially when you have seen some practically at deaths door when they arrive. Im on my 55th foster dog - Macey shes nearly ready to move on but some dont have such wonderful endings - Peggy was my 54th She didnt make it - she was such a mess - starved and neglected and so ill with no strength to pull through but at least she didnt die in a pound and was loved at the end . To be fosterer can be so sad but seeing all the updated photos of the ones that did make it makes it all worth while. Nix .
  17. Ahh thank you so much Katkin for asking about this wonderful Girl - I think this picture will say it all ( can you spot her?). Shes found just the best home and met so many wonderful friends. The only way is up now for Tia but sadly so many more seen in such bad conditions. Our latest dog pebbles in such a horrendous state so sad - and we did all we could for our lovely Millie but the tumours had taken over all her body and we couldn't let this girl live in any more pain so we had to let this wonderful girl go . The list of the dogs we have / see like this is endless but we have to carry on for the likes of Tia - Who without Rain would have had such a different ending. Thank you to all for caring and supporting us so that we can keep on helping - Nix
  18. Thanks all - Now back with his owner - along with Microchip - Bless this old lad

  20. For anyone that knows one of our wonderful supporters has started an auction site with all proceeds going to Rain Rescue. This site is fabulous and helped raise so much for the animals we take in desperate need. We have taken so many bad and neglacted dogs in the last few weeks our vet bills are horrendous - To name a few - Tia http://www.rainrescue.co.uk/special-appeals/severe-neglect-tia-pitiful-doberman-lady/#more-10761, Yogi so badly covered in Mange it was so hard to tell what breed they were http://www.rainrescue.co.uk/news/the-reason-rain-rescue-has-to-survive-to-help-dogs-like-little-yogi/ - Poor Vicky - So mentally scared and traumatised we only live in hope that this girl will recover and also the beautiful feral cats that Jackie Longley so loved so much in her life, we will keep giving them what she would have wanted and will be there for their every need - The monies taken from this auction has been so welcomed, and we thank people so much for their support. Please take a look and see the fabulous items on auction and if you have anything you can sell to help it would be so much appreciated. We also have signed photos from the many himself - Mr Paul O'grady who has done so much to promote the rescue dogs. https://www.facebook.com/groups/637678222930926/. Please take a look and share with your friends. We need every support to make sure we can be there for the animals today - tomorrow and in the long term future as without us - where would these poor animals be today - Thank you all in advance for your support. Nix
