  1. I went to Mylnhurst RC and then onto Notre Dame for gcse and A-levels. i would highly recommend sending your kid there its an excellent school in a nice area!!!
  2. ended up getting insured on my car with Churchill. £1717 fully comp as the 2nd named driver, very reasonable!!! got discount aswlel cus my mum swapped her insurance from aviva to churchill and also the house insurance to churchill aswell so manager to get quite a discount!
  3. yeah true its very expensive, but if you can afford it i'd definately recommend it, great feeder school for Mount St Marys & Notre Dame
  4. maybe so, but your not investing in anything in the long run by using a taxi...at least paying for insurance would mean no claims can be built up to lower insurance
  5. the cars already bought just trying to sort out insurance, i start an apprenticeship at forgemasters in september and need to be at work very early and in rotherham 1 day a week so ideally need to be driving, i can afford to pay it because im working now and have savings but want to find the best price
  6. yeah ill try that, my dads got 3 or 4 years no claims so ill try adding him as another driver.
  7. yeah, my mums got a 4x4 automatic and enquired about insuring me on it and was being quoted 5000! The best idea iv thought of is to find a fully comp insurer at £2400 no more, and my mums prepared to take out a tesco visa credit card £2400 & first year no interest, and i pay her £50 a week and that will clear the card in a year so she hasnt spent/lost any money just had to take the card oout in her name. then accident free for first year insurance should be at least halved.. thoughts...
  8. From most of the price comparison sites quinn direct kept coming up as the cheapest but when i read some reviews about them they didnt sound too good...
  9. what do you think about putting your son as a named 2nd driver and yourself as the main driver? cut cost dramatically but thers been a lot of controversy about this and insurers will do their god damn best not to pay out and prove your son is infact the main driver. its so expensive and i start my new job in september so need to be driving.
  10. yeah the cars £3700, and cheapest iv found was with tesco fully comprehensive on my own was £2800 i think i can find cheaper than that. My mum was on about putting me as the 2nd named driver but i heard that insurers are steppin up their hunt on 'fronting' & do their best to prove that the 2nd named driver is infact the 'main' driver on the car and wont pay out iff there is an accident. Fully comp on my own i think is better, build up a no claims for the year and insurance should be halved by the next year...any thoughts..
  11. Im looking for insurance on a 1.2 05 plate polo but its an absolute nightmare, anyone know where the best place or thing to do is...
  12. We are a local well established football team from Oughtibridge looking for a sponsor. We are hoping for someone who will be willing to fund a new football strip for our team. In return we are willing to offer the following: A change of team name to incorporate your business name. Advertising at the ground. Your business name and number on our shirts. We take part in a annual charitable fund raisers such as race nights and hope to do so this season at the Red Lion Grenoside to help raise money for charity and also for the team for tours. A team photo for your business. If this is of interest to any local businesses then please reply! It is also worth noting that it doesn't cost as much as you think because 40% can be claimed back. This would be an ideal and cost effective opportunity for a small business to raise its profile or for a well established one to gain useful publicity and develop community links. This may be of interest to someone who owns a restaurant. As a team we would commit to 2 meals a season ie Christmas and end of season. With 15 players in our squad plus partners, any deal would more or less pay for itself.
  13. good luck shifting the pair today! i certainly wont be taking them as im allergic to short haired animals
  14. & if you want a good racquet id go for a babolat or some sort of head racquet but dont spend silly money as you are 'new to the game'
  15. theres a tennis shop in the hallamshire sports centre at the end of eccy road/hunters bar area.
  16. why on earth though would the insurance on a £150 laptop be £100???? sure it'd be something like £20. My 42 inch tv cost less to insure than that laptop and the tv was like £800 quid :S somethin dont sound right there atall
  17. hardly any one checks reciepts, well i dont. Speaking of reciepts i went to Nandos on my dinner yesterday and bought a wrap with chips and paid with a ten pound note and got £3 change. When i got home i looked at the reciept in my pocket and it said Cash paid £50 and change given £43. Think some of their staff are messing up the till and stealing money!
  18. If the manager said it was brand new when infact it was 2nd hand you need to see trading standards because you've got a case here. On the other hand if the laptop is broke then just simply get a replacement through insurance instead of making a big deal about it & blowing things out of proportion.
  19. been about 9 or so times it just gets better n better, excellent food especially their calzone is to die for - very reasonable prices, great service & atmosphere - shall definately be going again soon
